Re-Imagining Toole Ave.

It is a group work with my friend Yasmein Okour

Connected Spaces is a design effort to re-envision Toole Avenue as a vital public space that serves the needs and priorities of its users, from the passerby to the local artist established within the area. The street’s current condition doesn't provide a safe experience that fosters interaction or creates a sense of place among its users, with a feeling of disconnection overpowering the space. The design outcome proposes ways to make the corridor safe, pleasant and attractive for people, bikes, and transit that unifies rather than divides the area. This multi-modal corridor would increase the amount of usable public space allowing it to establish itself as a catalyst for change; transforming others in Tucson, creating a connected web of efficient corridors that promote healthy environments and identity
